SELF THICKENING TANK

Self Thickening Tank (STT) is an innovative tank capable to maximise the food waste quantity collected.
It controls the sedimentation, the filtration and the, by consequence, the thickening. The thickening is controlled by 16 pairs of opto-sensors, within Pyrex tubes.
The system thanks to a PLC, can detect if each couple of opto-sensor is merged in water, air or waste (settled or floating) and in this way is possible to understand the tank filling level at once.
The filtration is obtained through a tubular textile filter (openings 300 micron).
STT pour into the sewerage only ready biodegradable-COD( useful for the biological nitrification-denitrification process at the Waste Water Plants.).
